Bella Lucia Gluten-Free Pizzelles began five years ago when founder Maryann Petta Cook experimented by substituting gluten-free flour for wheat flour in her pizzelle recipe. The rest, she says, was history, and soon a local natural food store began selling her cookies. After just a few months, the cookies were such a hit that customers began asking for them by name!

Gluten-Free Food Examiner Jennifer Harris recently reviewed the cookies for her column, beginning her review with, “I never tried a pizzelle before my [Celiac] diagnosis, but I think the quality of this product is such that it is hard to tell they are gluten-free.” She ends her report urging her readers to ask retailers like you to start carrying the cookies because they’re THAT good.
